For nearly 50 years, Highpoint Church has been helping people know and follow Jesus. Every Sunday, we gather for authentic worship, biblical teaching, and genuine community.

Pastor AJ

AJ and his family moved to Monmouth in 2016, beginning a journey that has deeply shaped his faith and love for the local church. His greatest joy in ministry is seeing God transform people’s lives from the inside out.

Passionate about God’s Word and reaching people with the gospel, AJ also serves as a Church Planter Assessment Director with Send Network, helping equip the next generation of church planters.

AJ and his wife, Rebekah, have been married since 2004 and are raising six daughters. He enjoys reading, cheering for any Chicago sports team (now including the Olivet Nazarene Tigers thanks to his two oldest daughters attending the college). But above all, he loves making memories with Rebekah and the girls.

Our Mission

We exist to help people believe in, belong to, and become like Jesus.

It starts with having a personal faith in Jesus. Through belief in Jesus, we belong to a part of God’s eternal family and have belonging within the Highpoint family. To become like Jesus is a lifelong process of growing in Christlike character and conduct.

Believe in Jesus

But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. – John 1:12

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. – Hebrews 10:24-25
